Tomorrow October 24 heralds the coming of Jamboree to Calder Park for the very first time and it is set to thrill the Victorian fans who have not seen Sport Compact action in over seven years.

With the nation’s fastest turbocharged sport compact cars and drivers keen to hit the track down South, the Jamboree expansion beyond the two regular locations of Brisbane and Sydney brings a fresh take and its own brand of exciting side-by-side racing to Victoria.

Jamboree owners Ray Box and Collin Willshire are stoked at the opportunity to bring the excitement of the Brisbane and Sydney events to Melbourne.

“It’s the first time in seven years that Melbourne has had a dedicated sport compact drag racing event, and considering how passionate the racers and fans are, we have no doubt that the 2015 Melbourne Jamboree will be one of the biggest events we’ve ever been involved in.”

With the resurfacing work already complete, the Jamboree team is confident that spectators will see some world-class racing with the possibility of some new Australian and even world records on the day.

“We know that plenty of locals will be keen to try out the brand new racing surface at Calder Park and when you mix in all of the interstate racers including the six-second heavy hitters from the Factory Xtreme category, this will be a show that will leave race fans of Melbourne raving for years to come!”

The 2015 Melbourne Jamboree comes to Calder Park on October 24th – a full day and night of epic sport compact drag racing action.
