“This is just adding to the build up of what is now officially the club’s biggest entrant list for the Sunset Strip facility.

“The guys are working hard to get everything together for next weekend and weather at the moment is looking perfect. We are hoping to see a few council members at our event so they can see what goes on at a National Championship round.”

Mildura Mayor Councillor Glenn Milne said Council’s continued support of a wide variety of events is paramount to cementing the region as a premier motorsports destination.

“Keeping Mildura at the forefront of people’s minds when it comes to all sporting events is very important for motorsports in our region. Whether its cars, drags, motorbikes or boats, motorsports are a huge economic driver for our tourism industry and we’re proud to continue to support events that have proven economic benefits for the wider community.”

“We encourage everyone to get along and support this event.”

ANDRA Business Development Manager Jennifer Harrison said she was thrilled to see local councils supporting drag racing clubs around the country.

“To see local councils investing in our sport is really encouraging,” she said.
