NHRA Pro Stock racer Shane Gray has been the first to unveil video footage of the new generation EFI NHRA Pro Stock race cars.

Gray just posted this burnout footage to his Facebook page that gives us a good look at what NHRA Pro Stock will look and sound like this year.

The NHRA has introduced a raff of changes to try and reinvigorate the class, the biggest being to ditch the carburettor in favour of Electronic Fuel Injection – the change makes those iconic bonnet scoops redundant.

There has been a lot of mixed sentiment about the move to EFI and the setup imposed by the NHRA, but it will make for interesting viewing for fans on how the teams have adapted over the American Winter with the first event of the season now only a few weeks away.

Who's ready for the first ever footage of the new style pro stock car doing a burnout?? Here we go! #NHRA
