Double Trouble reborn

Paul and Dearne Stephen have hit the track with a wicked looking new Supercharged Outlaws altered.

After Paul had what was a rather innocuous looking brush with the concrete wall at the East Coast Nationals in the husband and wife driven Supercharged Outlaws altered – that resulted in the chassis being a virtual throw-away – the team wasted no time in starting on a replacement.

John Willard was recruited the build the new chassis, fit the coupe body, and the outcome is one menacing looking piece.

Paul – who finished third in the Supercharged Outlaws points in last season’s ANDRA Summit Sportsman Series – took the car to the track for testing last night at Sydney Dragway’s Race 4 Real in the hope to make the Australian Nationals.

After a couple of angry launches and shut off runs the team left happy with the result, unfortunately though it does not look like “Double Trouble” will reach Australian Nationals with more set up sorting required – but we can’t wait to see the head-turning ride back on track again soon.
