Newby looking for a solid start to the New Year

Heading into the Willowbank Pro Series round with just three points separating them from the series lead, team Newby are looking for some solid track performances this weekend.

Coming off a win at the Sydney round in October the team are confident that they can produce a repeat of their Sydney win, but without the dramas attached.

Team Newby want to bring in the New Year with a win
“Though we won the last round, we had plenty of issues along the way and it is something we don’t aim to repeat this weekend.  We have all the bugs ironed out and are ready for a win come finals on Monday,” said Newby.

This round marks the halfway point for the Top Alcohol series. With another extended break through to the next round at the Nitro Championships in May, all teams will be jostling for position in order to set themselves up for the closing half of the season.

“Having not raced since October we are ready to take on the Top Alcohol field and take the lead in the series,” Newby remarked.

With 12 cars looking to qualify into an 8 car field, racing on Sunday should produce a tight field setting up some tough elimination runs on Monday.

“The team are relaxed and refreshed and are already enjoying some Queensland sunshine. We are ready to bring in the New Year with a bang,” said Newby

Wayne Newby would like to thank the entire team and valued sponsors JBS Tools, Fabre Australia, Smithfield Diff and Gear, Coldy’s Tow & Bullbars, Redline Oils, VP Racing Fuels, Mick’s Metal Craft, CRC Industries and Newby Engineering for their continued support.
