richiecramptonnhraRichie Crampton ran a new personal best in pre-season testing in Florida this morning, carding a 3.808 pass at 323mph over 1000 feet at Palm Beach International Raceway in Florida.

Crampton, who will run for the Automobile Club of Southern California Road to the Future Award, said on NHRA.com he was excited to get some passes in the Geico/Lucas Oil Top Fuel car.

“Running 3.80, which is obviously my personal best, is a great thing,” Crampton said. “But I’m also happy that I got to run side-by-side against other cars because that’s something that I hadn’t had a chance to do before now. That is a big deal when you’re trying to learn about staging one of these cars.”

Shawn Langdon finished quickest of the pre-season test, recording a very quick 3.72.
