World Records rein at Jamboree

Jamboree was last weekend and Australia is really stamping its dominance in the Sport Compact world with multiple World Records decimated at the event.

Joe Signorelli first took the mark for the quickest Sport Compact car in the world with a 6.309 at 227MPH in the second round of racing before backing it up with a astounding 6.26/230MPH run from the 2JZ Celica out of GAS Motorsport.

Scott Porter won the event and claimed the worlds quickest Nissan V6 combo with a 6.46/222MPH in the Infiniti, the car that was nearly totaled at this years Nitro Champs and is still in early development stages.

Mark Jacobsen with his Nissan GTR claimed the Nissan RB powered and GTR world marks with a 6.63/211MPH.

Michael Baghdadi’s Nissan S15 became the quickest SR20 in the world with a 6.91/197MPH and the quickest 4 cylinder in Australia.

Other impressive performances included PAC Performance running a 6.57/211 PB as they look to reclaim the rotary world record in their new Mazda6.

The Mazfix Mazda6 returned to the track after a rebuild from its tumble in licensing and impressed with a 7.11/192 first full pass on low boost

Ben Bray debuted the ex Ian Brown Pro Stocker to a 7.10 with the SR20 4cyl power plant.
