After rattling the cage with his breakthrough Super Stock win at the Westernationals, Allan Puglia has made noises of continuing his form at the ANDRA Summit Racing Equipment Drag Racing Grand Finals in Adelaide.

The four-time Motorplex Supercomp Track Champion made the Goldenstates finals in February, and then returned four weeks later to claim his first Gold Christmas Tree trophy in thirty years of racing at the Westernationals.

The jovial West Aussie was elated with the win, and was buoyed by the offer from his Termimesh and Stoneridge Nominees backers to take the A/Gas Ford Probe across the Nullarbor.

“To get a Christmas Tree after all this time is huge for us, and to reset the both ends of the national record in the process was the icing on the cake.”

What’s most impressive is that the two finals appearances came after a two-year hiatus for Puglia who took time out to refocus on other areas of business and family life.

“You could never keep us away from this sport forever because we love it so much, but this is really rewarding to know that we haven’t lost our form and can still stir the pot at a national level. But that engine is due for a rebuild, so if we head to Adelaide we will put the Pro Stock engine in and maybe go even quicker!”

Puglia will now assess his options for a Grand Final appearance in South Australia, which will no doubt send a shiver up the spine of the collective entry list battling for the season championship.
