After a semi-final finish the at recent ANDRA Australian Nationals, Top Alcohol racer Jason Maggs will be heading to Adelaide International Raceway this weekend looking for continued racing success at the ANDRA Grand Finals.

Adelaide International Raceway will come alive Friday and Saturday nights with the sound of the screaming Mighty Mouse small block powered dragster driven by Jason Maggs that is unique to Top Alcohol. Spinning up 10000+ RPMs worth of sound will delight the fans on the AIR hill when Jason launches the Maggs Racing Speedflow dragster down the 1000 foot race track.

Some new parts and some modifications to the engine and dragster combination culminating with more track time saw the Maggs team run a personal best and make the semi-finals at the Australiam Nationals in January at Calder Park. This weekend at Adelaide buoyed by the Calder success, Jason with father Robert are looking for more personal best times and going at least one more step in competition.

A tough field of six cars have entered for the Grand Finals event, headed up by the world record setting funny car of John Cannuli. Victorian cars make up the rest of the field, and Maggs is looking forward to a bit of intra-state rivalry with his fellow Victorian racers after recently calling out funny car racer Wayne Talbot with a cheeky Facebook post after passing him on a Melbourne freeway. “That’s the only time I’ll see the back of you this week Wayne,” quirked Maggs on Facebook.

The Maggs team spent last weekend entertaining the huge crowds at last weekend’s F1 Grand Prix in Melbourne, the dragster has had the once over and is being loaded into the transporter ready for a successful trip West.
