2018 Hidden Valley Drag Racing season kicked off on last weekend with the annual test and tune/street meeting combination.

With rain in the lead up to the event playing havoc for the usual start of season track preparations, the track proved to be a little green for some testing their skills to hook up the rubber.

Bryce Fullwood proved you don’t need a lot of experience to pull off a great reaction time with a 0.005 in the orange Datsun. However veteran racer Ashley Smith proved it’s all about experience with the Camaro managing the fastest time of the night of a 8.848 at 153mph

With a lot of competitive street cars coming out it will make for an interesting year in the Track Championship rounds.

With a lot of support from the local street bike riders proving they have what it takes on the drag strip, the quickest to snap the wrist off the line was Reece Tjung on his GSX-R with a reaction time of 0.008. However the fastest bike on the night was a 9.483 at 148mph set by a Hayabusa.

Entries are now open online for the Track Championship Series on the 28th April.

A huge thank you goes to all our volunteers, without you these meetings do not happen. As well as a special mention to Mat Burns doing a great job on meeting director.
