The much-anticipated 28th running of the Honeywell Garrett Brisbane Jamboree, presented by Link ECU and Tuners Edge, is now one step closer after the successful holding of the event’s fan ‘open night’ at NAPA Auto Super Store Logan City.
What is Australia’s premier sport compact drag racing and car culture event will be held at Willowbank Raceway this Saturday and Sunday (August 25 and 26).
World sport compact number one Gary White and fellow US superstar racer Gabriel Rodriguez unveiled their Titan Motorsports machines in front of enthralled fans at the Slacks Creek store before mingling with fans, signing autographs and posing for pictures.
Fans also were invited to get up close and personal with a wide array of stars and their cars from the sport compact drag racing scenes of Australia and Japan, as well as Hot Wheels/Castrol stunt heroes, Matt Mingay and Kent Dalton.
“What a great way to kick off this week – the fans have been fantastic and it was really great to see everyone checking out all of the cars on display and asking lots of questions about what is coming up,” White said.
“Everyone at Titan Motorsports is really looking forward to the weekend and tonight has just added to that anticipation – we can’t wait to see what we can do and hopefully we can pull together some amazing numbers and some great results for all our fans at Willowbank Raceway,” Rodriguez said.
With special access to the NAPA Auto Super Store workshop as well as the retail store after hours, race fans had no shortage of things to see and do during the special open night ahead of this weekend’s event.
“We have been so pleased to welcome the stars and their fans to NAPA Auto Super Store Logan City this evening,” NAPA Auto Super Store Logan City Retail Sales Manager, Phil Forshaw, said.
“The Brisbane Jamboree is shaping up to be a fantastic event and we hope tonight’s event has helped whet the appetite of race fans as they continue the countdown to this weekend!”
