Maurice Allen is set to compete in the NHRA on a Pro Stock Motorcycle at Charlotte's Zmax Dragway this weekend.
Allen will be riding a Suzuki with the Stoffer/Underdahl team, on a motorcycle formerly ridden by Joey Gladstone, who has been as quick as 6.79 seconds this season. While 6.8s and 6.9s will be more likely in the heat and humidity of Charlotte, there should still be more than enough horsepower to make Maurice the first Australian rider into the six second zone on a naturally aspirated motorcycle.
"Dad and I leave on Wednesday and we are straight into Q1 on Friday," Maurice said. "We would have liked a test hit or two but not to be so we will have to adapt quickly and looking forward to the challenge."
