The Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Car series is set to return to Sydney Dragway as part of one of the biggest one-day spectacles ever seen at the venue – the Gulf Western Oil Mega Race on April 6, 2019.

The Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Cars are renowned for spectacular racing and a show like no other in motorsport – side-by-side runs with nitro flames over the roof at more than 400 kilometres per hour.

Series manager Morice McMillin said they were pleased to return to Sydney after a year’s break.

“We have grown the series significantly since the last time we visited, and with new cars, new drivers and new features including the popular Aeroflow Pit Party we hope to see a whole bunch of new fans out at the track to cheer on their favourite cars and drivers,” he said.

Appearing alongside the Aeroflow nitro spectacular will be Davis Distributing Workshop Wars, hosting a qualifying race for workshops to gain entry to the second running of the wildly popular series.

Davis Distributing Workshop Wars features Australia’s quickest and fastest street-legal cars from the biggest names in the performance workshop scene. With renewed support from Davis Distributing, the qualifying round will be open to any workshop who thinks they cut it against the established stars of the series.!

Pro Extreme will also feature with some of the wildest cars in drag racing. Supercharged, turbo and nitrous cars will do battle – the only rules being that the car must have doors and meet the safety requirements of the category. Fans can expect to see 5-second runs at speeds approaching 400kph.

Rounding out the all-star show will be Australia’s best dial-your-own sportsman racers competing in an all-in shootout for $20,000 in prizemoney – one of the biggest paydays in Australian sportsman history. Dragsters, altereds and sedans will make up one of the most exciting melting pots of racing action for sportsman racers that Sydney Dragway has seen.

More information will be announced in the new year along with the opening of entries. For any workshop that would like to be a part of Davis Distributing Workshop Wars, please email info@sydneydragway.com.au to register your interest.
