As part of the on-going re-structuring of Australia’s Fastest Motorsport, ANDRA is pleased to announce that a new television package for the sport has been secured.
More than thirty (30), one hour shows will showcase ANDRA Drag Racing this upcoming season on SBS and repeat airings on the SPEED Channel via the Foxtel Subscription Network.
The Broadcast logistics will be provided by AVE – a company that has a prior relationship with the sport for many years, under the watchful eye of key ANDRA personnel.
This relationship will also see heavier colour stories and separate feature pieces on SPEED’s “Inside Speed” show on the Network, during Friday evenings – which are separate from the repeat Television Broadcasts on the dedicated motorsport channel.
Importantly, video replays of shows and podcasts will be available on the ANDRA website as a vital ‘catch-up’ element for Drag Racing sponsors, racers and fans.

The deal includes airing the six Fuchs Australian Nationals shows from Sydney Dragway on SBS during December, and the majority of Group One and RARS rounds right through to the Winternationals being held at Willowbank Raceway.
ANDRA CEO Greg Humphreys said negotiations took place with a number of television production houses to ensure that ANDRA Pro Series and Rocket Allstars competitions continued to receive excellent television coverage.
“Our members heavily rely on this exposure as part of what they offer current and prospective sponsors,” he said.
“We’re confident that the sport now has a solid television package to provide the professional coverage our racers and fans expect.”
ANDRA has also confirmed the appointment of two consultants with Rob Sharp coming on board as Commercial Manager (Sponsorship/Marketing) and Dean Neal as the Broadcast Manager.
“Rob and Dean’s appointment to these roles is a valuable addition for the sport,” Mr Humphreys said.
“Dean is well known already through his work on the ANDRA Pro Series television coverage and Rob has returned to the sport with his strong commercial marketing background which will be of great assistance to our racers.”
New National Broadcast Manager Dean Neal is encouraged with the broadcast announcement.
“This relationship gives the sport a great chance to strengthen and have Television continuity as the sport continues to re-shape and re-emerge,” Neal said.
“It also gives the series and it’s participants a chance to secure vital revenue and exposure opportunities.”
Joining Neal in commentary duties will be fellow Perth-based caller Matt Naulty, after popular broadcaster Chad Neylon has pursued post-graduate studies with the renowned Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA).
“I am delighted for Matt to get this opportunity, he is a very professional caller and I look forward to mentoring and developing him. He has big shoes to fill with Chad Neylon’s departure at the end of last season due to study commitments and I am sure he will.”
