Chicago blues for team Rapisarda

Rapisarda Racing’s  finest weekend on the NHRA Full Throttle series came to a premature end when Cory McClenathan smoked the tyres in round one of eliminations against Texan Steve Torrence.

After qualifying in 12 th place the Indianapolis based team went into race day quietly confident of winning rounds.

“It wasn’t what we wanted to happen but every time you go racing you never know what’s around the corner.” Explained team owner Santo Rapisarda with a shrug of the shoulders.

“Overall this weekend has been a mixed bag. To run a PB in qualifying proved we can mix it with the leading teams. Although, I must admit it would be nice to go beyond first round. Five times this season we have made the field then lost in round one”.

Next outing for the team is the 6th Annual Summit Racing Equipment National at Norwalk Ohio on July 5-8.
