Sainty falls short during NHRA “Sin City” event

Australia’s Terry Sainty has had his second NHRA national event try wheeling the Top Fuel dragster owned by Sydney-based construction crane magnate Santo Rapisarda.

The team was entered in competition for last weekend’s NHRA SummitRacing.com Nationals held in Las Vegas Nevada, the third event on the 2011 NHRA Full Throttle Championship series.

The team’s best effort for the weekend was a 4.274 secs at 261.22 mph (to 1000 feet) which placed them 18th and as a non qualifier.

The team did however show good promise with some impressive short times while racing during the event’s extremely hot weather and track conditions.
