Bob Shepherd will call a end to a long and spectacular career following the Australian Nationals.
Bob “The Masked Hero” Shepherd is set to announce his retirement after the Australian Nationals at Sydney Dragway. The sport has had many characters over the years but there is no one who could hold a torch to that of the man with the quarter mile smile, Bob Shepherd. In a career punctuated by many a spectacular moment, Shepherd has always been a sentimental favourite as the battler, his attitude admirable and infectious will be missed.
At this stage it seems his retirement will also see the end of Shepherd Racing with daughter Amanda stating on Facebook “The team goes with Dad wherever he goes, so once he retires and sells everything, so does the team!”
