Lamattina Top Fuel Racing ended their round two championship chances of winning by being knocked out of first round of eliminations on Sunday at Sydney Dragway.

The Fuchs Top Fuel Dragster overpowered the track, smoking the tyres up against Phil Read in first round of eliminations.

“We are disappointed as to be expected, but that’s racing,” said Phil Lamattina. “We had a few suspicions highlighted over the weekend so now we are looking forward to our testing session in Perth on Friday 19 November to be able to get some results from the first half of the race track.”

The team is now eagerly setting their sights on match racing Darren Morgan on November 20 at Perth Motorplex where they still hold the current track speed record. In the second event for Perth for the season the two teams will give eager WA fans an extra opportunity for some nitro action with three scheduled passes.

The Fuchs Nitro Lounge will also have its first debut in Perth. The Lounge has welcomed LTFR Corporate Guests for the past two rounds in Sydney. The eye-catching décor and open area within the LTFR Pit Area has proven to be a hit with the guests who can get close up to the action.
