The Wild Bunch and Nostalgia tag team rolled into South Coast Raceway last weekend setting up a great combination for regional events.

The Wild Bunch Association have been pushing their revival at regional venues with good success, enjoying a solid turnout of blown machinery while partnering with the Nostalgia events is a perfect fit.

The event saw “Thunda Downunda” drag racing icon Jim Walton taking on the role of Grand Marshall for the day.

Justin Russell won Wild Bunch over Mark Zauch with a near perfect 4.321 on a 4.32.

Check out some cool video footage from the day.

Those tyre torturing Vintage Gassers saw Ash Hayley triumph in the glass over Peter Raines. In Middle Eliminator/Hot and Rod Peter O’Connell won in his front engined digger against Danny Wilson’s very cool Ford Pick Up, and Anthony Raschella won Oz-US Muscle over Steven Griffin.

A red light also decided Super Street with Alistair Paulin picking off a cherry against Jeremy Martin. A pair of tough racers fought out Modified Bike final with Tony Frost triumphant against Jake Hamilton, and finally Allirah Kardum won Junior Dragster over Sarah Osbourne.
