Titan Motorsports, one of the biggest names in sport compact drag racing, are locked in and ready to head to the Honeywell Garrett Brisbane Jamboree this August to take on the best Australia has to offer.
The USA Titan Invasion will feature two incredible race cars from the Titan stable who will be making the journey to race, including the iconic Copper Supra, which changed the game in the early days of TX2K and the NOPI drag racing series.
Despite not having raced for years, the Titan Motorsports Supra has benefitted from some 2018-spec’ upgrades including a monster 98mm Precision Turbo, FuelTech ECU and a Liberty Xtreme transmission. Just the thing to light up the competition in J275!
Joining the Supra is the Titan Motorsports Toyota Camry owned and driven by Gabriel Rodriguez. This monster 2JZ-powered machine has run 5.79sec at 252mph and will be a solid match for the fastest racers in Factory Xtreme.
It’s not just the cars heading to the biggest sport compact showdown in the southern hemisphere. The number one sport compact drag racing driver on the planet, Gary White, will be piloting the Supra on what will be his third trip to Australia to race at the Honeywell Garrett Brisbane Jamboree.
Gary has been part of the Titan team for almost 20 years and was the first sport compact driver to drive into the 6.40s and the first into the 5sec zone. Gary is perhaps best known these days as the pilot of the quickest sport compact car in history, the 5.732sec, 255mph Toyota 86 of Ebrahim Kanoo.
Titan Motorsports team principal, Nero Deliwala, is excited about heading to Australia this August.
“As a team, we’ve raced all over the USA and around the world and Australia is one of my favourite places to visit. I’m looking forward to bringing the Supra and Camry to Jamboree and putting on a great show for our Aussie fans and customers,” he said.
